   Saturday, March 10, 2018 is the preview for ASD. Affordable Shopping Destination is one of the largest whole show that happens twice a year in Las Vegas. It was started by two association to sell general merchandise over 50 years ago and has grown into a magnificent event.  The show plays host to over 40,000 buyers from nearly 100 different countries. Estimated sales from ASD are approximately 2.8 billion across hundreds of different product categories. ASD is what is referred to as an order writing event.

  This show is a tremendous source for close outs, overstocks, liquidations, wholesale and private label. Also a great way to find new products from overseas. There is products for every buyer at this show. There are expected to be around 3,000 vendors. If you have a brand or private label, you should consider being an exhibitor. Thousands of people from store owners, eCommerce and importers will see your product. ASD is a major step to help grow your business.

ASD has many speakers that last one hour with educational series about many different topics. It is a good idea to try to hear some of these speakers for more knowledge and strategy.


                                      


  eBay and Amazon sellers usually have excellent sources of product you can make into bundles. Trade shows are great way to chat up suppliers, network with other sellers and  see if a company can make you a private label. There are so many benefits to attending trade shows.


             It is very important to plan ahead for the shows.


  • Check out ASD's website for possible vendors you might be interested in
  • Book hotels and flights early
  • Don't forget your badge
  • Always have your tax ID
  • Have a plan of action
  • When permitted,  Make videos, take pics and notes
  • Have comfortable shoes, there is a great deal of walking involved
  • Carry plenty of business cards
  • Do not carry any vendor catalogs, they can be sent to you via email or shipped to you
  • Attend free strategy sessions
