Growing trends in social media can expect a few changes. I read an article from Entrepreneur that says " Over 2.5 billion people use messaging platforms globally, and yet brands are still primarily focused on connecting with consumers on pure social networks. In 2018, expect brands to invest more time and money in connecting with consumers on messaging platforms.
Polls have shown that Twitter has stalled with growing followers. Facebook is still number 1, of course. More people are joining LinkedIn and Instagram. Pinterest has grown to over 200 million.
We all want to increase traffic through our social media. Here a a few tips to use:
- Set up an attractive profile about you and your business.
- Visuals and clear images attract followers.
- Keep a balance of what you post, do not over sell. Use quotes and humor.
- Master the social media site you are using.
- Interacting with followers are very important.
- Post everyday and learn the best times to post.
- Use plugins and buttons and make your content easy to share to other social media sites.
- Always provide value and do not over share your post / do not become a spammer!
If you use Pinterest, take advantage of Rich Pins, Group boards.
Be consistent, trial and error.... will bring you success!
